So last Saturday night, I invited some cool kids to help celebrate my birthday at The Brisbane Hotel. For a change, I decided to just have a more laid back party. Laid back meaning, no theme, no formal invites, no crazy gimmicks. I did however, made a special request to my friends beforehand not to buy me gifts, but donate cash for the Typhoon Haiyan victims in the Philippines instead.

When Emma and I decided that we were going to do a side trip to Canada, specifically to see Niagara Falls, I had this vision of you know strong, big cascading waterfalls like “God is about to take you” but when we got there on the 2nd of April this year, that wasn’t the case.
The Niagara falls we saw was frozen.
